The cycling route from Postojna leads into the forests of the Nanos plateau and before Suhi vrh descends back into the valley to the cartman settlement Razdrto and EcoTourism Hudičevec.
In the village of Strane, you can see the thickest and, according to popular tradition, the oldest Slovenian yew tree, in front of which Saints Cyril and Methodius are said to have preached. The path of the village leads to the settlement Razdrto, where you can relax in the pool or sauna in Guesthouse Mirjam, while at EcoTourism Hudičevec you will be welcomed with excellent local dishes.
The route takes you through the quarry in Laže and Slavina, where in the old days it was the main parish, and now there is an altar transferred from St. Trinity in the mighty Church of St. Mary.
At the Prestranek Castle you can stop for a ride and a refreshment, or just watch the horse trainers at work. For those with more stamina, it is possible to climb to Suhi vrh (the highest peak of Nanos, 1,313m), from where a wonderful view of the Postojna and Pivka basins opens up.
