From Nanos, there is a wonderful view in the direction of the Slovenian part of the Alps and in the direction of Snežnik and the Slovenian Littoral region. As a hiking spot, the plateau is also accessible for families with small children.

Of the mountain trails that lead to its peak, the most popular is the one that starts in Razdrto. Nanos is also a popular spot for cyclists. Getting to know the plateau by bike is suitable for people with better fitness.

Vojko’s hut (“Vojkova koča”) is located just below Pleša (the most prominent peak of Nanos). This offers visitors the possibility of refreshment and overnight stay. You can also go to Nanos by car. Just before the village of Podnanos in the direction of Razdrto – Nova Gorica, turn right from the main road onto the asphalt road (signposted Nanos), which will take you to the edge of the plateau, and further along the macadam to Vojko’s hut.
