The ascent to St. Lawrence (1.019 m) is possible by several different footpaths, but the most popular is from the village of Studeno.
On the saddle, just below the top, there is a small recently restored Church of St. Lawrence. The church is one of the oldest in Postojna, as it was first mentioned in 1391. The core of the church is probably Romanesque and it also shows the influences of Istrian architecture. It is dedicated to St. Lawrence, who is the patron saint of fire prevention.
From the top there is a wonderful view in the direction of Postojna and Cerknica region (Snežnik, Slivnica, Vremščica).
Benches are available to hikers at the top, where they can rest and refresh themselves with goodies from their backpacks.
