Scilka’s learning trail in Planina is named after the amethyst meadow squill (Scilla litardierei), an endangered plant typical of karst fields, which in Slovenia only grows in Planina Field.
Along the undemanding marked path, you will be accompanied by information boards that describe the peculiarities of Planina Field, everything from the secrets of Planina Cave, the characteristics of meadows, to the life of local plants and animals and flooding.
The learning trail consists of two loops:
- Southern: 4.7km
- Northern: 6.8km
