In the village of Grobišče, 4km from Postojna, there is a Smrekar homestead, which after more than a century of existence continues its mission – the mission of connecting people.
In the restored barn you can enjoy a good home-cooked lunch or a birthday party, but it is also intended for business meetings and promotional events. Their cultural events are free and open to the general public.
They can serve you homemade cold cuts and dishes made from organically produced meat from the Slovenian native Cika cattle, various cheeses, quail eggs, bread from the brick oven, and they pair all that with some nice wine.
Years ago, the homestead switched to organic farming, where cereals, crops and various fruits are grown on 22 hectares of arable land. You can find Krškopolje pigs, Cika cattle, and goats in their stables and on their pastures. Everything they grow and breed is part of the Smrekar homestead culinary offer.
