Modrijan Homestead, which once consisted of a residential house, a mill and a sawmill, is located in the middle of the Postojna Cave Park next to the Pivka River.
On the ground floor of the former homestead, there is a restaurant pampering its guests with the specialties of local cuisine, homemade bread, prosciutto, cheese and wine, and in the shady garden of the homestead, with grilled specialties.
Part of the homestead is also a water mill, formerly also called Lower Mill on Pivka, which is considered a true ethnological pearl. Nowadays, the mill is partially electric operated. The Venetian sawmill, which helped the former owners lead a richer lifestyle, is also on display.
